Influence of Direct Splat-Affecting Parameters on the Splat-Type Distribution, Porosity, and Density of Segmentation Cracks in Plasma-Sprayed YSZ Coatings

Abstract The integrity and properties of ceramic coatings produced by atmospheric plasma spraying are highly controlled the splat morphology interconnection. In this study, influence selected parameters (spray angle, surface velocity spray gun, substrate temperature) on coating microstructure was investigated. A favorite set gun parameters, which their effects have been verified previous experiments, were used to conduct experiments for present work.
